Mr. & Mrs. Allen were invited to the First Presbyterian
Church in Lebanon, IN. The children of the Sunday school classes gave
them a check for $68.38 to send Bibles around the world.
The kids are still giving their offerings to this day. On that day the children
wrote what was on their hearts in 50 Bibles that were sent to a church in Africa. A week or so prior to the trip to First Presbyterian
Mr.
Allen had a dream in which children were handing him and Cindy jars of pennies, their savings,
for Bibles. In the dream Mr. Allen
and his wife were crying when the kids did that - as they did when the
kids
actually did give them their change. (6/25/07)

Lebanon, IN. - Since their kids were grown and gone, Mr.
Allen and his wife decided to box up all those surplus toys and give
them to the local Toy Drive for Christmas. Mrs. Bailey, a dear
Christian woman and head of the drive for the last 20 years, took two
loads
off their hands. Mr. Allen felt led to donate several Builder of the
Spirit books to that drive as well. The plan was to give each
needy
family their allotment of toys plus a book. Mrs. Bailey would later say, "I
passed out all four boxes of books." With a tear in
her eye, she added, "I enjoyed passing out those books more than I did toys this year!"

Allen's daughter, told him she read Builder of the Spirit. She
said,
"Greg, I have only read three books in my entire life, that includes
yours. I never finished the first two, but I finished yours. I couldn't
put Builder of the
Spirit down, it was that good! I cried a lot while reading it. Believe it or not, I didn't even finish
"Chicken Soup"
because I though it was boring!" Katie told her dad that she can see change in her friend. (4/7/03)

Plainfield, IN. - Mr. Allen was doing a book
signing in a Christian Coffee House when a man walked in. He started
reading
Builder of the Spirit. After he finished reading Chapter
One he laid it down, while staring at Mr. Allen to say nothing. Mr. Allen
said, "Well?"
His response was, "Words cannot describe!" He went on to tell Mr. Allen that he put the barrel of a .38 pistol
in his
mouth a month earlier. The man walked out with two books. Mr. Allen was told later, by the Coffee House
owner, that the man was
having an affair with a married woman. The man bought the woman a book and she ended the affair with him.

Sullivan, IN. - Something in his mind told a
man who was walking down the street to enter a bookstore where Mr. Allen was
doing a book signing. When he entered the store, he said, "I need
something to read, I don't have anything to read, but I don't have
any money."
Another man standing in line in front of him handed Mr. Allen a Builder of the Spirit
book and said, "Here sign this, I'm
buying it for him." Mr. Allen asked if
he knew the
man, the answer was no. Mr. Allen signed the book and the man broke down
in
tears. He said he lost a well paying job. He also said he knew
the Lord, but he almost killed himself the night before. Mr. Allen has
written him and his life is turning around. The murderous thoughts have
left. (1/11/03)
